MGF REPAIRS to HYDRAGAS SUSPENSION UNIT
MGF hydragas suspension problem requiring a pump up in Bulgaria

the MGF is down on one side of the car
a hygragas pump unit is required but unavailable in Bulgaria
a suitable replacement pump is created by two of the engineers at the mechanics workshop in Djebel Kardzali southern Bulgaria
the replacement pump is tested before being used to top up the evaporated hydragas in the suspension of the MGF
this MGF was lucky, the hydragas suspension unit did not have a leak and just required a top up!
when the MGF was let down off the jacks, it was found that too much gas had been pumped in
just a minor adjustment and the MGF’s suspension was measured and found to be perfect once again!
The owner now reports that her car feels like new, it handles much better and gives a much smoother ride!
plus the slightly over raised suspension unit gave us a bit of a laugh after a long days work too 
This MGF had problems with its suspension. The MGF had dropped on one side of the car and was needing the hydragas suspension unit to be pumped back up to normal height.
The bodywork arches were sitting almost on the tyres. (THIS IS PAGE ONE PHOTOS THERE IS A SECOND PAGE showing the final suspension fixed and the MGF once again properly balanced!)
MGF hydragas suspension problem
Problems with this hydragas suspension unit can affect both steering of the MGF plus the comfort of the ride itself.
Howevers, the MGF is not a common car in Bulgaria and a hydragas pump was not available.
At the Djebel Kardzhali garage are two engineers, who put their heads together to arrive at a solution to the suspension problem.
Some of these hydragas suspension units have small leaks, but there was a chance that this unit had only failed due to evaporation of the hydragas itself.
This is a photo run down on how the MGF’s suspension unit, which was not leaking, was fixed!
